Get your numbers in order. This is a MUST! The end of the year is fast approaching and before we know it, it will be time to pay the tax man will you be ready?
Every year I get the same messages from people;
"I planned on doing my bookkeeping but time got away from me and now where do I start?"
"I have all of my receipts but what do I do with them?"
"Next year I am hiring a bookkeeper can you help?"
I have my receipts all organized, what is next?"
"I am overwhelmed and do not know what to do."
Bookkeeping can be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be! Many times as business owners we start with great intentions of keeping our accounting records up to date, but often it gets set aside and before you know it you are far behind and that feeling of being overwhelmed starts to creep in.
What happens next? NOTHING, and that is a big problem!
Let me ask you this:
If your bookkeeping is not up to date how do you know if you are making a profit?
If your bookkeeping is not up to date how do you know where you are spending money?
If your bookkeeping is not up to date how can you make good financial decisions?
If your bookkeeping is not up to date how can you plan for the future?
I could keep asking you questions like these but I think you get the idea. Instead let me give you some tips to help you get your bookkeeping records in good order.
